Synchronizing ENOVIA Attributes

This task shows you how to synchronize attributes between ENOVIA and Microsoft Office files. The attributes are mapped to the file properties in your Global Config Object by the system administrator.

The Sync Attributes menu contains the following options:

  • Synchronize to ENOVIA, which synchronizes the mapped file properties with ENOVIA database object attributes.
  • Synchronize from ENOVIA, which synchronizes the ENOVIA database object attributes with the mapped file properties.

Note: Attributes are synchronized automatically during a checkin / checkout process.

Before you begin:

The document you want to synchronize must be locked. If the document is not locked the Synchronize Attributes options are not enabled.
