Creating a Feature Revision

Product Managers and System Engineers have revise access only for objects that are in the Release state. Hence, the Revise command link in the Properties page and Revisions page is enabled only for Product Managers and System Engineers, and then only if the feature is the latest revision and is also in the Release state.

Working with Feature Revisions

  1. To create a new revision of a logical, manufacturing, or configuration feature, access the Properties page for the feature, then select Categories > Revisions > Create New Revision.

    The Create New Revision window opens.

  2. Make modifications, as necessary. The following can be changed:

    Revision. Displays the Next revision in the sequence. The object's policy determines the initial revision sequence. You can accept the default or specify a custom revision. This is a required field.

    Description. Add details to the description or replace the existing description. This is a required field.

  3. Click Done to confirm your changes.

    The Revisions page is updated with the new revision.
