Saving an Attached Document to Disk

You can download and save any document that is listed on an Attachments page to a local disk. Saving a file has no affect on other people's ability to view or edit the file.

Note: Depending on how your system is set up, a File Checkin/Checkout Login page may appear when you attempt to view or add documents. If so, enter the same Username and Password that you enter when logging into Quotation Central.


Before you begin: List the attachments for the item. See Attachments and Folder Contents List.
  1. Click the File Download icon (download) from the Actions column for the document. A blank browser Window pops up behind the browser's dialog box.

    To view the file immediately, it's faster to use the View icon instead of the Download icon. The View icon skips the browser's dialog box.

  2. Click Save.

  3. Enter the path and filename for the file and click Save.

    The system saves the file to the path you specified. The blank browser window remains open.

  4. Click Done on the blank browser window to close the window.
