Viewing Requirement Revisions

You can view a list of revisions on a requirement in order to see the requirement's revision history. During the early definition process in the product development process, requirements undergo many changes until the requirement is understood by the team that will be implementing it. During the Preliminary or Draft states of the requirement, changes can be made without revision control. However once the requirement is released, it must be under change control and must obey rules of the Engineering Change (EC) process.


Before you begin:

View the properties for a requirement. See Viewing Requirement Properties.

  1. From the Categories menu, click Revisions.



    The Revisions page column details are as follows:

    Name. Name of the revision. This column contains highlighted links. Click on any name in this column to view the Properties page for that object, or click in the row to view the Properties page in a new browser window.

    Revision. The revision number or code.

    Type. The type or subtype of the revision.

    Title. The title of the revision.

    State. The current state of the revision in its lifecycle.

    Owner. The person responsible for the revision.
