Locking Objects

You can lock a selected specification or object and all related business objects. Locked objects cannot be edited or deleted until they are unlocked.

Before you begin:

View the specification in Structure View. See Using Structure View for a Specification.

  1. From the Structure View of a requirement specification, click to select the node of the specification you want to lock.

  2. From the page Actions menu, select Lock.

    The Lock for Edit page opens.



  3. Type any Comments about the locked object.

  4. If you also want to lock sub requirements, click Yes next to Lock Sub Requirements?

  5. If you also want to lock derived requirements, click Yes next to Lock Derived Requirements?

  6. Click Done.
