Viewing Shipping and Import Costs

This section describes how to view shipping and import costs in a SUC record.

Before you begin: Ensure that you are in the SUC Cost Summary Page. See Viewing the Cost Summary.

  1. The Cost Summary tab contains the Cost details:



    Note: If the SUC is created from the Set or Pack Product, the Material Cost details will show the materials cost of each sub-product.

    Note: If the SUC is created for the Product Variant, then Material Cost details will show the material cost Product Variant.

    Note: If the SUC is created from the Set Product, the Shipping & Import Attributes tab shows the Shipping & Import details of the Set Product and its sub-product, and the Shipping & Import Cost tab will show the Shipping & Import cost details of the Set Product and its sub-product.

    The tab contains the information in the following sections:

    Shipping & Import Attributes - Indicates the basic information of the shipping and import cost, including:


    • Ship Mode - Indicates how the finished goods are shipped
    • Pack Method - Indicates how the finished goods are packed for shipping.
    • Fold Hang Method - Indicates details of the pack method.
    • Quota Category - Indicates the category specific to the product and the country of import. It classifies the products by the countries of import. The quota category of a product varies with the countries of import.
    • Quota Charge - Indicates the cost to buy the quota.
    • Quota Charge Dutiable - Indicates whether the quota charge is dutiable.
    • HTS # - Indicates the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code.
    • HTS Status/Date - Indicates the HTS status of the finished goods and the date when the HTS status was last updated.
    • Garment Weight - Indicates the weight of each individual garment and the unit of measure applied to the garment weight.
    • Product Dimension UOM - Indicates the unit of measure for the product dimensions.
    • Length - Indicates the product length.
    • Width - Indicates the product width.
    • Height - Indicates the product height.
    • Volume - Indicates the product volume. The system calculates the volume by using the formula of "Length * Width * Height"

    Shipping & Import Cost - Indicates the shipping and import cost details, including:

    • Description - Indicates the sub-cost items in the shipping and import cost item, including:
    • Freight - Indicates the freight cost in shipping and import.
    • Insurance - Indicates the insurance involved in shipping and import.
    • Duty - Indicates the duty cost when importing the goods.
    • Customs Clearance - Indicates the customs clearance fee for shipping and import.
    • Inland Freight - Indicates the freight cost of inland transportation.
    • Cost by - Indicates whether the cost is calculated by percentage or by an inputted amount.
    • Cost By Value - Indicates the cost by value of the cost item.
    • Cost - Indicates the total calculated cost.

      Note: If Shipping/Import Cost By is set to %, the system calculates this parameter by using the formula of "[Shipping/Import Cost (%) / 100] * [Total SUC (on the Cost Summary tab)].

      Note: If Shipping/Import Cost By is set to $, this parameter is equal to the value input into Shipping/Import Cost ($).

    • Cost Remarks - Indicates additional information on the cost.
    • Total - Indicates the total shipping and import cost.

  2. The following options are available from the Shipping & Import page:

    Shipping & Import Attributes tab

    Edit - Allows you to edit the general information of the shipping and import cost. See Editing Shipping and Import Details.

    Mode - Allows you to edit the general information of the shipping and import cost for the Set Product SUC.

    Shipping & Import Cost tab

    Add Cost Item - Allows you to add the cost items for the shipping & Import cost.

    Mode - Allows you to edit the shipping and import cost items. This option is applicable to the non-FOB trade terms. See Editing a Shipping and Import Cost Items for SUCs.

    View Cost by Description - Allows you to view the cost by description for the Set or Pack Product SUC.

    Delete Selected - Allows you to delete the selected cost items.
