Editing Properties Files

You can edit the properties files for the ENOVIA Business Process Services applications to configure it for your business processes.

  1. Open the properties file you want to edit:

    BPS Component Properties File Name
    Application Exchange Framework emxSystem.properties
    Common Components emxComponents.properties
    Team Central emxTeamCentral.properties
    ENOVIA Business Metrics Module emxMetrics.properties

  2. Edit the needed properties. See the list of properties for each component:

    Important: This property in emxSystem.properties specifies special history actions used to parse the history for the common history component. Do not change the value for this property:
    emxFramework.History.SpecialActionType = change owner,change
    policy,change type,change name,change vault,modify form
    Important: These properties in emxTeamCentral.properties should not be changed:
    emxTeamCentral.enableUpdateTransactions=true
    emxTeamCentral.enableReadTransactions=true
    emxTeamCentral.ActiveSuiteName = eServiceSuiteTeamCentral
    BPS Component For the list of properties, see:
    Application Exchange Framework emxSystem.properties
    Common Components emxComponents.properties
    Team Central emxTeamCentral.properties
    ENOVIA Business Metrics Module emxMetrics.properties

  3. When finished making all edits to a file, restart the application server. If using a J2EE implementation, run the warutil and deploy files as usual.
