About Product Lines

Products are created and managed in the context of a product line. Product lines, classified as the services or products that a company offers to its customers, are created and managed in the context of the user's company. The definition of product lines and models allows companies to publicize the products and services they provide. A product line can have one or more sub product lines.

A product line is a collection of models. For example, the product line Desktop includes models like Dimension 8250, Dimension 8100 and Dimension 8300. Another example of a product line is a Wireless Phone, which can have many models related to this category.
