Search can be conducted from the global toolbar or from specific locations within Product Line Management, such as when filling in a field within a form. For example, many Edit Details pages contain an Owner field with an ellipsis button which provides access to the Search page.

Product Line Management can be configured with several types of searches. When you select a search option, you could see any one of these search dialogs:

From the global toolbar Search drop-down list or the Search menu in the Tools drop-down list, you can select search options for each installed application in addition to search options that are shared across applications. The objects you can search for are dependent on the role(s) you are assigned.

  • Search—Enter search criteria at the top of the page, and the results display at the bottom of the page.
  • Full Text Search—Can be configured for navigation mode or form mode. These search tools let you progressively narrow down the search results based on indexed values. Each query searches through all the words in every indexed object in the data index created from your database.
