Editing Test Case Properties

This task shows you how to make changes to the basic details and attributes for a test case. Only Product Managers and System Engineers can access the Edit Details page from the test case Properties page.

  1. From the page Actions menu or page toolbar, click Edit Details.



  2. Make modifications, as necessary. The following can be changed:

    Name. Update the name of the test case.

    Description. You can add details to the description or replace the existing description.

    Owner. Click to modify the owner of the test case.

    Synopsis. Type a few words that sum up the test case.

    Notes. Update any notes that may help others using this test case.

    Estimated Completion Date. Click to select and modify the estimated date of completion of this test case.

    Actual Completion Date. Click to select and modify the actual date of completion of this test case.

    Validation Comments. Update the validation comment for the test case.

    Validation Status. Update the validation status of the test case.

  3. Click Done.
