Entering Dates for Risks

The risk owner and assignees can use the Edit Risks link to enter the start and finish dates for several risks at once. People assigned Project Lead access can also make these changes.

Before you begin: View the list of risks (project or WBS task) that contains the risks. See Listing Risks.
  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Edit Risks.

You can click the risk name ( opens the Properties page in a new window) or project name to see additional details.

  2. Enter and edit dates for risks as needed. Use the tool to select a different date. See Entering Dates Using the Calendar.

Estimated Start Date or Estimated Finish Date. When creating a risk, the originator enters these dates but they may have to be changed as the risk and assignee status changes.

Actual Start Date. Indicates when the risk assignees began work on the risk. When an Actual Start Date is entered, the system promotes the risk to Active. Alternatively, the risk owner/assignees can promote the risk to Active and have the system automatically enter the current date for the Actual Start Date.

Actual Finish Date. Indicates when the risk assignees completed work on the risk. When an Actual Finish Date is entered, the system promotes the risk to Complete. Alternatively, the risk owner/assignees can promote the risk to Complete and have the system automatically enter the current date for the Actual Finish Date.

  3. Check the risks whose dates you want to update.

  4. Click Done.
