Editing Details for a Quotation

Suppliers can edit the details for quotations they own or co-own.

A quotation must be in the Open state to edit its details. You can use the Lifecycle page to demote it to Open if necessary. Quotation details include attributes found on all quotations (such as comments and description), additional attributes that the Buyer requested, and owner/co-owner assignments. Entry for some of the attributes may be required.

Before you begin: View the Properties page for the needed quotation. See Viewing Details for a Quotation.
  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Edit Details.

    Quotation: Edit Details

  2. Edit any of these details:

Workspace Folder. Click Browse to choose or change the workspace folder(s) the quotation is contained in. See Selecting from Lists. The list contains only those folders that you have access to.

Comments. Notes to internal reviewers or the Buyer for the quotation.

Description. A general overview of the quotation

Owner. Click Browse to change the person with primary responsibility for the quotation, or start typing to select the needed person from a list of matches. See Finding People.

Co-Owner. Click Browse to add people as co-owners of the quotation, or start typing to select the needed person from a list of matches. See Finding People.

Additional Attributes. The quotation may have additional attributes defined by the Buyer.

Some attributes may contain calculated values (such as a total cost attribute). If so, you can click the calculator to view the formula used for the calculation.

  3. Click Done.

If you reassigned ownership to someone else, a popup window opens asking if you want to become a co-owner. If you do not become a co-owner, you cannot edit the quotation (unless Allow Role Edits is turned on). This window does not appear if the owner was the Supplier Representative role.

    1. Choose Yes or No.
    2. Click Done.

The system notifies the new owner of the ownership change.
