Checking in Design Data

This task shows you how to check in design data. To preserve edits you've made, you must check your files into source control.

  1. Select the desired objects and choose DesignSync | Check In

    The Check In dialog displays.

  2. Select the desired checkin options and press Ok to begin the checkin.

    The output of the Checkin operation is stored in the DSclipse log file and echoed to the console view, and new vault or module versions are created for the specified objects. The decorations for the objects checked in change to indicate the objects are checked in, and up-to-date.

If you are checking in a module, both structural and content changes are checked in.

Note: If you are performing a module checkin to a branch, the workspace selector changes to the new branch selector (<NewBranch>:Latest).
