Configuration Feature Properties Page

The Configuration Feature Properties page can be accessed by clicking on a highlighted configuration feature name from anywhere in ENOVIA Variant Configuration Central. It shows details about the configuration feature and provides access to related items. ENOVIA Variant Configuration Central contains a special option that allows you quickly to see and work with items related to a configuration feature. When a feature Properties page is open, the left frame contains the Structure Navigator, which shows related items in a tree format. Table Columns

Basics Description
Display Name The display name of the configuration feature. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Name The name of the configuration feature. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Revision The revision level of the configuration feature.
Type Configuration Feature
Owner The owner of the configuration feature. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Policy Configuration Feature
Status Description
State The current state of the configuration feature in its lifecycle.
Higher Revision Exists Either Yes or No.
Active Engineering Change Either Yes or No. For details, see Working with Engineering Changes.
Additional Information Description
Design Responsibility The Responsible Design Organization (RDO) for the configuration feature. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Display Text The Display Text associated with the configuration feature. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Description The description of the configuration feature. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Originator The user who created the configuration feature.
Vault The vault in which the configuration feature is stored.
Originated The date the configuration feature was created.
Modified The date the last time the configuration feature was modified.
Configuration Criteria Description
Selection Type Either Single or Multiple. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Key In Type Either Blank, Date, Input, Integer, Real or Text Area. This field is editable in Edit mode.
Classification Description
Classification Path The library hierarchy for this configuration feature. This field is displayed only if ENOVIA Library Central is installed. The Library Central application provides the recommended way to classify products and features. When Library Central is installed, you can create a general library with as many class objects as needed to define a hierarchy of container objects.
Interface Attributes Class objects are nodes in the library that serve as categorization devices, grouping together and giving a common name to objects with common attributes. This field is editable in Edit mode.

The Configuration Feature Properties page toolbar provides access to the following items:

Edit Details button Opens the Edit Details window, in which you can edit details of the configuration feature Editing Configuration Feature Properties
Copy To button Opens the Step 1 of 2: Copy To window, in which you can copy the configuration feature to another product or configuration feature. Copying a Configuration Feature to Another Object
Subscribe button Opens the Subscription Options window, which allows you to select events related to the configuration feature about which you want to be notified. Subscription Events for Configuration Features
