Renaming Product Variants

This task shows you how to rename one or more product variants.

  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Rename.

    The Rename Product Variants page opens.

  2. Select the product variant and type the new Variant Name and/or Marketing Name in the respective columns.

    The following special characters are prohibited in names.

    @ Commercial At Sign
    , Comma
    * Asterisk
    ? Question Mark
    [ Left Square Bracket
    ] Right Square Bracket
    # Number Sign
    $ Dollar Sign
    { Left Curly Bracket
    } Right Curly Bracket
    \ Backslash
    " Double Quotation Mark
    < Less-Than Sign
    > Greater-Than Sign
    | Vertical Line

    Note: If you should need to use any of these special characters in a name, you can edit the emxProductLine.Javascript.MarketingNameBadChars property in the emxProductLine.properties file located in SERVER_INSTALL\managed\properties\ (Windows) or SERVERHOME/managed/properties/ (UNIX).

  3. Click Done to rename the product variant or click Cancel to cancel your changes.
