Copying Rule Extensions

This task shows you how to copy and modify rule extensions from one object to another.

Before you begin: Access the list of rule extensions for an object. For details, see Viewing Rule Extensions.

  1. From the page Actions menu or page toolbar, click Copy.

    The Search page opens. For details, see Running a Search.

  2. Select the rule that needs to be copied.

  3. Click Submit.

    The Edit Rule Extensions page opens and all the fields are pre-loaded with the existing values found in the database.

  4. Make modifications, as necessary. For details, see Creating a Rule Extension.

  5. Click Done.
