Managing Issues Addressed

When a Defect is created from an Issue, you can view details about the Issue from the Issues Addressed category for the Defect. In addition, you can add issues to the list or remove issues from the list.


Before you begin: View the Properties page for the Defect. See Viewing Defect Details.
  1. From the page toolar, click Categories > Issues Addressed.


    Issues Addressed

    For each Issue, this page lists these details:

    Status Icon. Represents any slippage between the estimated start and finish dates. The red, yellow, and green status icons are configurable. For example, a red icon might display for a high slip value, and a green icon for no slippage.

    Name. The name of the issue, which is auto-generated. Click to view the issue's properties. See Issue Properties Page.

    Type. The type for the issue.

    Description. The description of the issue.

    State. The current state of the issue in its lifecycle.

    Escalation Required. Whether the issue requires upper management support for resolution.

    Estimated Start / Finish. The estimated start and finish dates for the issue resolution.

    Actual Start / Finish. The actual start and finish dates for the issue resolution.

    Reported Against. Shows the Product that the issue was reported against. Click to view the Product's properties page.

    Owner. The person responsible for the issue.

    Priority. The priority of the issue that was set when it was created or modified: Low, Medium, High or Pre-assigned.

    Edit. Click to edit the Issue's details. See Editing Details About an Issue.

    Attached Files. Click to go to the Files pages that lists files that are checked in to related objects. SeeFiles Associated with an Object.

    New Window. Click to view the Issue PowerView page for the issue in a separate window. See Viewing an Issue in PowerView.

  2. Use the page Actions menu or toolbar to work with issues:

    • Add Issue Addressed. Opens a search page where you select an Issue to add it to this list. See Searching for Issues. If you were not the person who created the issue, you need the Issue Manager or Analyst role to perform this function.
    • Remove. Removes the selected Issue from this Defect; click OK to confirm.
