Working with the Quotation Line Items PowerView

You can use a single page to review line items in a quotation, and to edit the details for those line items.

Before you begin: View the Properties page for the needed Quotation. See Viewing Details for a Quotation .
  1. From the Properties page, click Categories > Line Item Power View.

For descriptions of the line item details, see Attachments and Folder Contents List. When you click a line item, Quotation Central lists the Attachments and ECRs in the tabs at the bottom (if any).

  2. To edit values on this page:

    1. Click Edit on the page toolbar. The line items tab switches to edit mode.

Important: If you make changes to cells in this tab afer clicking Edit, make sure you click Apply before using any of the items in the Action menu. If you do not apply your edits, they will be lost.

    2. Click in the cell and make your change.
    3. To update multiple cells:

      1. Check the line items you want to update.
      2. Select the column you want to update from the Mass Update drop-down list. You can choose any of the editable columns.
      3. Enter a value for that column in the update text box.
      4. To apply the change, click Apply to Selected (only updates those objects that are checked) or Apply to All (updates all objects on the page whether or not checked).

You can make any number of proposed changes to any combination of cells prior to applying them. Until you click Apply, the database is not updated.

        In edit mode:

        • A red triangle means that cell can be edited
        • means a change has been made to that line item
        • Edits show as a bold, italic text for the new value followed by red text with a line through it indicating the original value

    4. Click Apply.
    5. Click View.

  3. Use the page Actions menu or toolbar to work with the quotation line items:

Note: If the quotation has been promoted out of the Open state, you need to demote it before you can use the actions listed here.

Export. Exports the line item details to an .XLS or .CSV file. See Exporting Line Item Details.

Import. Adds bid details by importing from a file. See Importing Bid Details.

No Bid. Marks selected line items that you do not intend to bid on them. See Declining to Bid on Line Items.

Enable. For selected line items set to no bid, indicates that you want to bid after all; click OK to confirm.

  4. To view additional details about a line item, click that line item. The bottom of the pages shows tabs that work the same as the category page for the line item:

Attachments. See Attachments and Folder Contents List

    ECRs. See Managing ECRs.
