Open from Web: In web integration, navigating in ENOVIA from your browser and launching "checkout" directly in the browser is possible. This is not possible with the embedded integration. Using embedded integration, the only way to open the data is to find it from the ENOVIA V6 -> Open command in CATIA V5. See Launching CATIA V5 From Designer Central. |
Derived Output Selection: In web integration, it is possible to select or unselect specific derived output for a single "checkin" operation in the Checkin page. See Checking in the Active Model. There is currently no such option in embedded integration's Save command. Changes in the derived ouput selection should be set in the Preferences page of ENOVIA Designer Central. For more details, see Setting Preferences section of Designer Central Users Guide. |
Selecting Download Folder: In web integration, it is possible to change the target directory for the file download for a single "checkout" operation from the Checkout page. See Checking Out and Loading Objects. In embedded integration, the documents opened in CATIA from ENOVIA are downloaded to the local workspace directory specified in the integration property page. See Setting the Local Workspace Directory for Open. |
Delete After Checkin: Web integration provides many options to control the deletion of documents from the local file system after a "checkin" operation. See Checking in the Active Model. In embedded integration, the files are now always kept in the local workspace directory. |
Progress bars: Web integration displays progress bars during "checkin" and "checkout" operations. Such progress bars are currently not available with the embedded integration. |
Partial Open: In web integration, individual nodes of a structure can be manually selected for checkout in the Checkout page. See Checking Out Designs. In embedded integration, Open command allows you to open either all the children or none. See Opening Documents From ENOVIA in CATIA V5. |
Case insensitive search: In ENOVIA Web interface, it is possible to perform case insensitive searches for Designer Central objects, prior to performing a "checkout" operation. Currently, the embedded integration's Open command only allows for case sensitive searches. See Searching Documents. |
