Viewing a Compatibility Report

This task shows you how to view a compatibility report. Compatibility reports are used by Product Managers to view details about the status of all rules connected to a product.

Viewing a Dependency Report
  1. To view a compatibility report, do one of the following:

    • Access the Products page. For details, see Products Page.

      The Products page opens. By default, all products you own are displayed. You can use the filter in the upper right corner of the page to change the list to show products assigned to you or all products.

    • Access the Properties page for a product. For details, see Product Properties Page.

  2. From the page Actions menu, check the product for which you want to run a report, then click Compatibility Report.

    The report page opens, showing products that have any of the following compatibility problems with the context product:

    • Any product that is required that is not already included
    • Any product that is co-dependent that is not already included
    • Any product that is incompatible that is already included
    • Any product that has a compatibility issue


    It contains the following columns:

    Rule. The name of the rule defined to control compatibility for the context product.

    Left Expression. The left expression defined when the rule was created or modified.

    Compatibility. Specifies the compatibility relationship.

    Right Expression. The right expression defined when the rule was created or modified.

    Status. Shows a descriptive message indicating the status of each rule connected to the product.

  3. After you generate the report, you can click either of the following from the page toolbar to work with the report:


    • Export. Click to export the data. For details, see Exporting Data.
    • Print. Click to view a printer-friendly page. For details, see Printing a Page.
