Logical Features Page

This topic describes the columns and actions available on the Logical Features page. The Logical Features page provides a system engineering view of the product structure, and allows you to manage the logical features and their subfeatures for a model, a product, or another logical feature.

You can access the Logical Features page in any of the following ways:

  • From the global My Enovia menu, under Variant Configuration > Logical Structures, select Logical Features.
  • In the context of a model, from the Properties page Categories menu, select Logical View.
  • In the context of a product or logical feature, from the Properties page Categories menu, select Logical Structures.

Columns



Display Name Description
Display Name This column displays either the object name or the marketing name, depending on the Feature Name Display user preference setting. See Setting the Feature Name Display for details.
Status Section
State The current state of the logical feature in its lifecycle
Active EC Yes or No; whether an active engineering change exists on the logical feature
Basics Section
Image The primary image associated with the logical feature, if one exists
Name The name of the logical feature. You can click on the highlighted name to open the Properties page for the logical feature, or right-click the highlighted name to access additional actions, such as adding the logical feature to a collection or finding related files.
Type Logical Feature
Display Text The display text associated with the logical feature
Owner The owner of the logical feature
Design Responsibility The Responsible Design Organization (RDO) for the logical feature.
Part Family The part family to which the logical feature belongs
State The current state of the logical feature in its lifecycle
Design Variants Section
Design Variants Yes or No; whether design variants exist
Design Selection Criteria Section
Selection Type Multiple or Single; selection criteria for the Effectivity Matrix
New Window Opens the logical feature in a new window

Create Logical Feature Creates a new logical feature. If one of the logical features displayed in the table is selected when you invoke this action, the new feature becomes a child of the selected one. Creating a Logical Feature
Mass Assign RDO Assigns design responsibility for multiple features. Check the logical features for which you want to assign design responsibility. The Search page opens where you can select an organization or project. Mass Assigning Design Responsibility for Logical Features
Delete Removes selected logical features from the list and deletes them from the database. You are prompted to verify the deletion. Removing or Deleting a Logical Feature

Structure Compare Option Description For details, see:
