Viewing Logical Feature Product Variants

This task shows you how to view which logical features in a product are included in product variants under that product.

  1. From the page Variant Actions menu or page toolbar, select View Product Variants.

    The View Product Variants page opens.

    If you want to limit the number of features shown in the Name column, from the Level drop-down list in the page toolbar, select a number from 1 through 5 to show associated features or select All to show features for all possible levels.

    The table contains the following columns:

    Name. Displays the logical feature structure of the product or feature. This column contains highlighted links. Click on any name in this column to view the Properties page for that object, or click at the end of the row to view the Properties page in a new browser window.

    Product Variants columns. Multiple columns are included in the table, one for each of the product variants associated with the product. A check mark is indicates each logical feature that product variant includes.

  2. Use any of the following commands from the page Actions menu or page toolbar to work with the product variants.


    • Create. For details, see Creating a Product Variant.
    • Clone. Creates a new product variant from an existing product variant. Select the source product variant from the drop down list.
    • Edit Product Variants. Edits the selection of features for the product variant.
    • Rename. Renames product variants under the context product.
    • Delete. Removes all checked product variants from the list and deletes them from the database. You are prompted to verify the deletion. Click OK.

      Note: If you manually add a configuration feature to a product or product variant and then add it as a design variant to a logical feature, that configuration feature is retained in the product or product variant context even if the design variant is removed.
