Viewing a Dependency Report

Dependency reports are used by Product Managers to view the whole map of dependencies of each product in a selected product structure.

  1. To view a dependency report, do one of the following:

    • Access the Products page. For details, see Products Page.

      The Products page opens. By default, all products you own are displayed. You can use the filter in the upper right corner of the page to change the list to show products assigned to you or all products.

    • Access the Properties page for a product. For details, see Product Properties Page.

  2. Check the product for which you want to run a report, then click Dependency Report, from the page Actions menu.

    The report page opens, showing all dependent products in the product structure.

    It contains the following columns:

    Level. Shows the level of features and subfeatures in the product structure. Features directly connected to the product are represented by whole numbers. Subfeatures are represented by decimal numbers, the number of decimal places indicating the level from the product.

    Name. Name of the item in the product structure.

    Revision. Revision of the item in the product structure.

    Type. Type of the item in the product structure.

  3. After you have generated the report, you can click either of the following from the page toolbar to work with the report:


    • Export. Click to export the data. For details, see Exporting Data.
    • Print. Click to view a printer-friendly page. For details, see Printing a Page.
