Completing a Quotation

Completing a quotation involves filling in (or attaching) all the details required so that the Buyer can evaluate and award bids.


Before you begin: View the Properties page for the needed quotation. See Viewing Details for a Quotation.
  1. If you decide not to bid on the entire quotation, set all line items to no bid; seeEditing Quotation Line Items and return the quotation to the Buyer. (Promote the quotation to the Returned state using the Lifecycle category.)

  2. Enter required attributes for the quotation; see Editing Details for Quotation Line Items.

  3. Add attachments that apply to the entire quotation; see Attachments and Folder Contents List.

  4. To enter values for all line items, see Editing Quotation Line Items.

  5. To work with specific line items:

    1. Enter bid information or indicate that they are not bidding; see Editing Details for Quotation Line Items.
    2. For each line item, enter additional attributes that have been required by the buyer; see Entering Values for Additional Attributes.
    3. Add price periods for line items; see Editing Price Period Details.
    4. Add attachments; see Attachments and Folder Contents List.

  6. Optionally, create Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and attach documents to them; see Creating an ECR and Attachments and Folder Contents List.

  7. Optionally, create pass through RFQs to send to your suppliers to source line items in the qutoation (you must also have a Buyer role); see Creating a Pass Through RFQ.

  8. Submit the quotation to an internal review. See Submitting a Quotation for Internal Review. Make any changes necessary.

  9. Return the quotation to the Buyer (the quotation must be in the Review state):

    1. From the Properties page for the quotation, click the Lifecycle category.
    2. Click Promote.
