Fabric Properties Page

You can view the fabric details and provides access to related data such as approved colors, sample material requests, and reports.

Access the Fabric Properties page. See Fabrics List Window.

This section includes the following:
Attributes Description
General Information Information such as type, name, brand, and season created are displayed in this section. The Status field shows the current state of the fabric in its life cycle. See Fabrics List Window for more details.
Fabric Attributes Technical details such as the fiber content, cuttable width, and mechanical finish are displayed in this section. The fabric attributes vary with the type of fabric selected. See Fabric Attributes for Different Fabric Types.
Care Instructions Information such as the care status, care approval, washing, drying, bleaching, ironing, dry cleaning, additional instructions and care comments. See Care Instruction Powerview.
Sourcing Attributes Information about the supplier and the costing details such as the curency, purchase cost, standard cost, bulk minimums, and bulk monthly capacity are displayed in this section.
Alternate Sources From the context of an existing fabric, you can create a new alternative source. The alternative sources are different suppliers who supply fabrics of like quality. Each source is managed separately with its own lifecycle. See Creating an Alternative Source for Fabrics.

Categories

You can use the Categories menu from the page toolbar to access the following options.

Categories Description Reference
Approved Colors Shows colors page which displays all the approved colors for the selected fabric. See Approved Colors for Fabrics for more details.
Sample Material Requests Shows sample material request page for the fabric manufacturer. Click the name of the sample material request to view details. See Sample Material Requests PowerView for more details.
Where Used Shows products or other items where the fabric is used. See Fabric Where Used for more details.
Reference Documents Shows all reference documents related to the fabric. Click from the Reference Documents page or see the Engineering Central User's Guide.
Discussions Shows messages sent within a group about the particular fabric. Click from the Discussions page or see Live Collaboration - BPS - Common Components User's Guide.

Workflows

 Shows Routes, tasks, and approvals structure associated with the fabric. Click from the Workflows page or see Live Collaboration - BPS - Common Components User's Guide.
Reports Shows generated report for the fabric. See Fabric Reports List Window for more details.
Artwork Details Shows associated sketches with the fabric from artwork details page. See Artwork for Products and Materials for more details.
Revisions Shows the revisions of the fabric. See Working with Material Revision for more details.

Actions

You can use the page toolbar to perform the following tasks.

Actions Description
Create Alternate Source To create an alternate soucre for fabric. See Creating an Alternative Source for Fabrics.
Add Existing To add an existing fabric which is added as alternate source.
Add to Seasonal Library To add fabric to selected seasonal library.
Fabric Copy To create a copy of the fabric. See Copying Fabrics.
Remove Selected To remove an alternate sources for fabric.

Note: Remove Selected option is available only when fabric has alternate source.
Edit To edit fabric details. See Editing Fabric Details.
Create New Revision To create a new revision of the context fabric. See Creating a Material Revision.

Note: If the revision already exists for the selected material, then the Create New Revision is not available.
