For each Defect Action, this page lists these details:
Basics
- Name. The name of the Defect (usually an autoname). Click to view the Properties page for the Defect. See Viewing Defect Details.
- Revision. The revision number of the Defect.
- Title. A brief description of the defect. Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Defect Description. A more detailed description of the Defect. Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Defect Action Description or Description. The description of the Defect Action.
- State. The current lifecycle state of the Defect Action.
- Evaluate
- Open
- Test
- Closed
- Rejected
- Priority. The priority of the Defect, a value from P0 (the highest priority) to P3 (the lowest priority).Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Severity. How severe the Defect is, a value from S0 (the highest severity) to S3 (the lowest severity). Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Owner. The person responsible for managing the defect and its fix. This is the person who has lead responsibility for the Development Manager role for the organization that has Design Responsibility for the Product. Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Originated Date. The date the Defect was created.
- Originator. The person who created the Defect. Click to view the Properties page for that person (see Person Properties.)
Assigned Engineers:
- Action Assignee. The development person responsible for fixing the Defect.
- Quality Assignee. The quality assurance person responsible for testing the fixed Defect.
Edit assignees. Click to open the Assign page. See Assigning a Defect Action.
Status:
- Defect Action Type.
- Software
- Hardware
- Documentation
- Test
- Availability. Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions. Indicates where the resolution for this Defect will be made:
- Candidate. The Defect Action is connected to a Model as a candidate fix for a future release.
- Committed. The Defect Action is connected to a specific Product for fixing.
- Rejected. The problem reported by the defect is not accepted to be fixed.
- Orphan. Not currently committed to a product, assigned as a candidate to a Model, or rejected.
- Reason for Rejection. If the Defect Action was rejected, shows the reason. Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Model / Product. If the Availability is Candidate, shows the Model. If the Availability is Committed, shows the Product. Click the object to view the Properties page. Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
Reporting Information: Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Reported Against. The Product, Feature, Requirement, or other object that the Defect is reported against. Click to view the object's Properties page.
- Reporting Organization. The organization of the person who reported the Defect. Click to view the organization's Properties page.
Defect Change Board Does not show for Dependent Defect Actions.
- Change Responsibility. The organization responsible for implementing and testing the fix for the Defect. Click to view the Properties page for the organization.

(Edit). Click to open the Edit Details page for the Defect Action. See Editing Defect Action Details.

For the Dependent Defect Actions page:
- Add Existing Dependent. Opens a search page where you select an existing Defect Action to define it as dependent on this Defect Action. See Searching for Defect Actions.
- Mark as Dependent of. Opens a search page where you select an existing Defect Action to makes this Defect Action dependent on the one you select. See Searching for Defect Actions.
- Remove. Removes selected Defect Actions from being dependent on this Defect Action; click OK to confirm.
- Edit. Opens the Defect Actions edit page; see Editing Multiple Defect Actions.
For the Defects Committed or Defect Actions Affecting page:
- Mass Reject. Rejects the selected Defect Actions. See Rejecting a Defect Action.
- Delete. Deletes the selected Defect Actions; click OK to confirm.
- Edit. Edits the selected Defect Actions in a list page (not the Defect Actions Properties page). See Editing Multiple Defect Actions.
For the Defects Candidates page:
- Mass Reject. Rejects the selected Defect Actions. See Rejecting a Defect Action.
- Delete. Deletes the selected Defect Actions; click OK to confirm.
- Commit for Product. Opens a search page for selecting a Product where this Defect Action will be resolved. The Defect Action is removed from this page and added to the Defects Committed page for the selected Product.
- Edit. Edits the selected Defect Actions in a list page (not the Defect Actions Properties page). See Editing Multiple Defect Actions.
For the Build Satisfies Defect Actions page:
- Remove. Removes selected Defect Actions from the Build; click OK to confirm.
