Logical Structures Page

The Logical Structures page provides access to the Logical View and Manufacturing View for a product or logical feature. For a manufacturing feature, the Logical Structures page provides access only to the Manufacturing View.

You can access the Logical Structures page from the Categories menu for a product, logical feature, or manufacturing feature.

Columns

Display Name Description
Display Name This column displays either the object name or the marketing name, depending on the Feature Name Display user preference setting. See Setting the Feature Name Display for details.
Status
State The current state of the object in its lifecycle
Active EC Yes or No; whether an active engineering change exists for the object
Higher Revision Yes or No; whether a higher revision of the object exists
Basics
Image The primary image associated with the object, if one exists
Name The name of the object. You can click on the highlighted name to open the Properties page for the object, or right-click the highlighted name to access additional actions, such as adding the object to a collection or finding related files.
Type Object type (e.g., Hardware Product or Logical Feature)
Master Composition The model associated with the object. This column shows values for products that are added as subfeatures.
Display Text The display text associated with the object
Owner The owner of the object
Design Responsibility The Responsible Design Organization (RDO) for the object. See Assigning Design Responsibility for more information.
Part Family The part family to which the object belongs
State The current state of the object in its lifecycle
Design Selection Criteria
Design Usage Required, Standard, or Optional
Selection Type Multiple or Single; selection criteria for the Effectivity Matrix
BOM Criteria
F/N The Find Number on the object; used for BOM generation
Quantity The quantity on the object; used for BOM generation
Reference Designator The reference designator on the object; used for BOM generation
Component Location Component location on the object; used for BOM generation
Usage Usage on the object; used for BOM generation
Design Variants
Design Variants Yes or No; whether design variants exist
Usage Criteria
Rule Type Inclusion or Exclusion
Rule Expression Rule expression representing the feature option effectivity

Actions Menu

The Actions menu provides access to the following actions:

Create Assembly Configuration Creates a new assembly configuration. Creating an Assembly Configuration
Remove Removes the selected object from the current context, but does not delete it from the database. Removing or Deleting a Logical Feature
Delete Deletes the selected object from the database and all associated contexts. Removing or Deleting a Logical Feature
